First SPIRE-EaP Countries Meeting held in Brussels

Tue, 11/04/2017

Following the decision of the EaP Panel on Research and Innovation meeting, Brussels, 14 December 2016, one of the policy dialogue priorities for 2017 is to establish synergies with the EaP Platform 3 on Energy Efficiency.

In view of this, each EaP country nominated a national expert to address issues relevant to the SPIRE PPP (https://www.spire2030.eu). SPIRE – “Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency” – is the European Association which is committed to manage and implement the SPIRE Public-Private Partnership (PPP) and represents innovative process industries in that field.

A meeting between SPIRE and this EaP group of experts was held in Brussels with the support of the EaP Plus Project. The event took place on 7 April 2017 in Brussels, at the premises of the European Commission. EaP PLUS was represented by its coordinator, and Managing Director of CeRISS, Dr. George Bonas.
