Expert Group Meetings for Recommendations on EU-Central Asia and EU-Eastern Partnership Science, Technology & Innovation Cooperation in Energy

The FP7-funded Projects IncoNet CA and Inconet EaP successfully organised two Expert Group Meetings in order to discuss the outcomes of the Energy-related activities of the projects and provide recommendations for the future of EU-CA and EU-EaP cooperation in the field of Energy Research on 25th and 26th April 2016 in Athens, respectively. 

The meetings were organised in the framework of an evaluation of the outcomes of the major activities in three topics, namely, Health, Climate Change and Energy, conducted by the IncoNet CA and IncoNet EaP Projects. To that purpose, one Expert Group Meeting for each topic will be organised*.

During the meetings, the evaluation of the projects' activities on Energy were briefly presented. The events will involve energy experts and representatives of the research community (high representatives from institutes/research centres/universities) from the EU and the CA and EaP countries, respectively. Based on their experience,  experts made  recommendations to strengthen the EU-CA and EU-EaP Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation in the following issues:

  • Potential Topics and Means of Cooperation on Energy;
  • Promotion of Innovation and Drivers of Cooperation in the field of Energy Research.
