Sun, 15/10/2017

The project partners of EaP PLUS convened for a two-day General Assembly meeting in Vienna for reviewing the project's status and discussing the actions ahead

From October 10-11 the EaP PLUS consortium organised it's second General Assembly (GA) meeting in Vienna, Austria. The project kicked off in September 2016 with a kick-off event and GA meeting in Athens, Greece.

Over the course of the first year in EaP PLUS, many activities have already been implemented. The major results and outcomes which could be made available online can be found on the project website: https://www.eap-plus.eu/project/impact_and_results

The project works along six work packages, helping to divide the work in thematic areas and action fields: Policy Dialogue, Participation in Horizon 2020, Research & Innovation Partnership, Policy Framework, Communication. This structure is also reflected in the project's main menu on the landing page.

During the GA meeting in Vienna the progress made and the next upcoming steps in each work package were discussed in detail in the plenary meeting involving all partners.

Among the most important actions to be addressed by the consortium in the next period is the promotion of the upcoming "SPIRE" call as part of the new Work Programme 2018-2020 of Horizon 2020.

SPIRE adresses all six EaP countries and funds projects in the field of "Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency". The European Commission requested EaP PLUS to disseminate the information about SPIRE as wide and as intensive as possible among all six EaP countries. Against this background, the consortium agreed that EaP PLUS will implement a dedicated SPIRE "dissemination campaign" in the EaP region in the next weeks.
